Knee Orthosis and Knee Joints
A knee orthosis is an externally applied device used to restore the structural and functional characteristics of the neuromuscular and skeletal systems — in this case the knee joint. The range covers locked, free motion and polycentric joints, lateral bars and ROM orthoses.
- Ring lock knee joint — straight medial and lateral, or straight lateral with contoured medial; children version with lateral bars
- Swiss type springy and springless knee joints — straight and contoured medial variants
- Automatic trigger lock knee joint — the locking tip is attached by cable to a trigger, so the patient can release the locks without bending over
- Free motion knee joint, posterior offset free motion, and polycentric free motion
- Lateral bars in stainless steel and aluminum — sets of 4, thickness 4 mm, length 410-450 mm, slots 14, 16 and 20 mm
- ROM orthosis with adjustable range of motion
- Knee sleeve long with adjustable polycentric bars — sizes XS to SuperLarge, circumference 33 to 75 cm, height 41 cm
