PROSTHETIC FEET KEY LEVEL

Prosthetic feet Key Level of Roadrunnerfoot

Roadrunnerfoot realizes a complete product range of prosthetic feet: you can choose the foot suitable and appropriate to the patient’s need and the patient’s key level of mobility. The prosthetic feet have a different efficiency ( the ratio between released and stored energy, as a spring) and different patient’s key levels. The prosthetic feet on carbon fiber are the best products (aeronautical process and cycle) for each different patient’s key level.
It is very important for Roadrunnerfoot to realize one of prosthetic feet on carbon fiber  for each key level so each patient can choose one high-release energy foot in each key level.
Roadrunnerfoot evaluate the efficiency of prosthetic feet in collaboration with Berlin Cert and Politecnico of Milan (Engineering University)

SACH FOOT 25% KEY LEVEL 1,
SINGLE AXIS FOOT 35% efficiency KEY LEVEL 2,
DYNAMIC FOOT 40% efficiency KEY LEVEL 2,
DYNAMIC PLUS FOOT 40% efficiency KEY LEVEL 2,
WALKING MP 45% efficiency KEY LEVEL 2,
EQUILIBRIUM 50 % efficiency KEY LEVEL 3,
ROADFLEXION 60% efficiency KEY LEVEL 3
ROADWALKING 70% efficiency KEY LEVEL 4

Efficiency prosthetic feet

The Efficiency of prosthetic foot must evaluated between calculation Areas of Energy storage and return of Heel and Areas of  Energy storage and return of Forefoot

Parameters that influence the performance of prosthetic foot

Differences between hypothesized prosthetic feet with different levels of flexibility at initial contact with the ground and at toe-off: (a) prosthetic foot with tip more rigid and (b) the prosthetic foot with more flexible tip
The prosthetic foot (a), with more rigid tip, allows a longer, more stable step and a reduction of load for the sound limb, decrease the consumption of energy to walk. (KLODD, A. HANSEN, S. FATONE and M. EDWARDS, “Effects of prosthetic foot forefoot flexibility on gait of unilateral trans-tibialprosthesis users,” Journal of Rehabilitation Research et Development, vol. 47, no. 9, pp. 899 910 , 2010)

Limited and unlimited household ambulation.
Level surfaces.
Fixed cadence.
Transfers and therapeutic use.

SACH FOOT

Limited community ambulation.
Able to traverse low-level environmental barriers (curbs, ramps, stairs, uneven surfaces).

SINGLE AXIS FOOT

DYNAMIC FOOT

DYNAMIC PLUS FOOT

WALKING MP

Community ambulation. Variable cadence gait (or potential).
Most environmental barriers.

EQUILIBRIUM

ROADFLEXION

Bilateral involvement.
Active adult.
Athletes.
Children.
Exceeds basic use.

ROADWALKING
